Reifen Helm Strengthens Goodyear Farm Tires Connection
Becoming an official distributor of Goodyear Farm Tires in Germany continues a sustained period of growth over the last decade for Reifen Helm GMBH.
A fourth-generation family owned business, Reifen Helm has made giant strides over the last decade to becoming a full-service mobility provider across the north of Germany.
As well as offering a full car maintenance programme, including glass service and inspection, its range of tyres – which comprises car, truck, earth-moving and farm tires – is vast.
The addition of Goodyear Farm Tires to the portfolio is a major boost for Reifen Helm, which has 50 outlets in the regions in which it operates.
Sascha Kemper, from Reifen Helm, said: “We are delighted to be a distributor of Goodyear Farm Tires.
“It’s been an uncertain period for agriculture in Germany and 2019 has been no different because of the financial insecurity people are feeling.
“But the name of Goodyear Farm Tires is still very popular in Germany and we are delighted to be involved in its return. “
Reifen Helm’s connections with Goodyear Farm Tires extends beyond just becoming a distributor. Its sales manager Torsten Muller knows all about the agricultural sector of Goodyear having spent 13 years working for the company from 2000.
Sascha added: “It’s fantastic to have a man of Torsten’s experience leading our sales team on a brand such as Goodyear Farm Tires which he knows so well.
“Having Goodyear Farm Tires is a win-win situation for us as we have a good relationship with farmers in our region and a strong market share.
“We are already seeing high demand for Optitracs and the Low Sidewall Technology Goodyear Farm Tires showcases and we would expect that to grow as more and more people become aware of the return of the brand to the European market.”
The new range of Goodyear Farm Tires will complement the current radial portfolio.
The range includes 85, 70, 65 and XL Tractor Drive Radials, as well as specific designs for sprayers, harvesters and industrial applications. Plans are already in place to expand the offering over the next 18 months.
Titan International has been manufacturing Goodyear Farm Tires in America for more than a decade and has recently purchased the licence for the European and UK markets. It has also made a significant investment in new plant and equipment to manufacture tyres specifically for the European market.
