Here at Goodyear Farm Tires, we are delighted to have played our part in helping stage a virtual ploughing event and raise vital funds for charity during the coronavirus pandemic.
VPlough ’20 saw entries submitted from across the UK – and beyond – with more than £5,000 raised for UK & Irish Air Ambulance Trusts.
There were more than 30 classes for people to enter, including a range of different ploughing options, as well as other categories including best vintage and classic motor vehicle and motorbike.
The event – which also had NFU Mutual as a sponsor – also featured a steam rally field which hosted a collection of photographs and videos and attracted entries from across the UK and even as far afield as Canada.
Natalie Dukes, Marketing Manager for Goodyear Farm Tires, said: “We are delighted VPlough proved such a success.
“We were proud to have been involved in an event which raised vital funds for Air Ambulances across the country and provided a welcome distraction during a difficult year for people who got involved in the event. We hope everyone enjoyed participating.”
Nikki Wright, Operations and Marketing Director for Air Ambulances UK, said: “Congratulations to all involved for pulling off such a fantastic event during these trying times.
“Many thanks to all for the fundraising efforts for the UK’s Air Ambulance charities. We really enjoyed seeing the activities on social media.”
The entrants were judged by a team of experienced and knowledgeable judges and awards given for best in class.
